Early Stage Researcher (m/f) / PhD Student (m/f) for wire-mesh sensors for controlled inline fluid separation
This position is part of the European Innovative Training Network Smart Tomographie Sensors for Advanced Industrial Process Control (TOMOCON). For further information about the network, please visit www.tomocon.eu .

The position will be available from 1 March 2018. The employment contract is limited to three years which includes the possibility for the graduation at the Technische Universität Dresden. The regular weekly working time will be 39 hours. The salary is based on the European Marie-Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network TOMOCON. The place of work is Dresden-Rossendorf. The candidate (m/f) will also spend secondments of few months in total for technical and scientific training at TOTAL (France), CERG Fluides (France), Technical University Lodz (Poland) and Technical University of Delft (The Nederlands).

Tasks:
development of wire-mesh imaging sensor technology towards the integration into inline fluid separation systems
development of integrated and robust sensor front-ends as well as fast data processing software with the implementation on parallel processor architectures
detection and characterization of emulsions in liquid-liquid flows and electrostatic actuation, engineering design and technical demonstration
